Do you or anyone you know have wisdom tooth pain?

Wisdom Teeth Removal in Sandstone Point – Safe, Gentle and Affordable!

Tooth extraction is usually enough to strike fear into even the most courageous of people, but it doesn’t have to be this way. Instead, wisdom teeth removal in Sandstone Point is both safe, gentle and affordable when you visit the team at Sandstone Point Dental.

Many dentists will refer their patients to specialist oral surgeons, because they lack the training, and therefore the expertise to carry out a tooth extraction chairside under a local anaesthetic. While in more complex cases this may be the best course of action, often, simpler cases are best carried out by a skilled dentist in the comfort of the dental clinic. This usually results in a lower cost and less anxiety for the patient.

When you choose wisdom teeth removal at Sandstone Point Dental, we bring our own unique brand of gentle, caring dentistry so you should feel no discomfort during treatment. This way, you can be confident that you are in safe, gentle and extremely capable hands.

How the removal of wisdom teeth in Sandstone Point works

Step 1 – the consultation
During a consultation, we’ll take an x-ray of your mouth to determine the extent of the problem. We’ll then talk through the extraction process with you so that you know exactly what is going to happen and what to expect. We’ll also take time to answer any questions or concerns you have about the wisdom teeth removal process.
Step 2 – the Anaesthetic
Before our team starts to extract your wisdom tooth or teeth, we’ll administer a local anaesthetic around the extraction site. This gently numbs the area. If you feel particularly anxious about the tooth extraction, we may be able to administer a sedative to help you fully relax.
Step 3 – Wisdom teeth removal
Sandstone Point dental patients at this stage should be fully relaxed. When you are ready and if the tooth hasn’t erupted, we’ll make a small incision into the gum to access it. If the tooth has partially or fully erupted, this might not always be necessary. While the wisdom tooth is being removed it’s likely that you will feel slight pressure at the site as the tooth is being gently rocked backwards and forwards. This is to widen the tooth socket for ease of extraction. Finally, after just a few minutes, the wisdom tooth should be out. More complex cases may take 20 minutes or longer as the tooth may have to be cut into sections, but generally, a simple wisdom tooth extraction is over fairly quickly.

If you have any concerns about your wisdom teeth or are looking for a dentist to carry out a wisdom tooth removal in Sandstone Point, Qld, then don’t delay. Talk to our friendly Sandstone Point Dental team on (07) 5429 5628 today!
