Free Kids Dental

The team at Sandstone Point Dental believes that all children should have access to the dentist in order to prevent dental issues early in life. Often, dental decay and gum disease can be present even in the absence of pain or other symptoms.

At Sandstone Point Dental, we are proud to announce that we will be BULK BILLING all children who are Eligible for the Child Dental Benefit Schedule (CDBS).

Each child is eligible for up to $1000 worth of general dental treatment (including check ups, x-rays, preventative fissure seals, fillings and dental extractions) over 2 consecutive calendar years.

Starting in 2014, the Child Dental Benefits Schedule has helped 3.4 million eligible children between the years of 2-17 access private dental clinics to maintain and improve their oral health.

Alternatively, you can fill out the Online Eligibility Form and one of our lovely staff members will call you back soon!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

I want to come to the dentist, but I am concerned about how much it will cost my family?
At Sandstone Point Dental, we will do whatever we can to discuss all treatment options with you so you are comfortable with the cost associated with improving the health of your mouth and smile.

By attending your regular check up and clean appointments, our team will be able to fix any minor issues before they become more widespread and serious, which in turn will make your dentistry more affordable and less invasive.

We are also proud to announce that we have decided to BULK BILL all children who are eligible for the Child Dental Benefit Schedule (CDBS). This means that any treatment that is performed under the CDBS will have ZERO gap payment.

For adults, we offer dental financing through MacCredit, allowing you to have your dental issues fixed in a timely manner without having to worry about upfront payments.

Please visit our “Free Kids Dental” and “Payment Plans” pages for more information.

When should children start seeing a Dentist?
At Sandstone Point Dental, we suggest you start bringing your child in for a check up from the age of 3. By this age, most children have all of their baby or milk teeth, and these teeth, like adult teeth, are susceptible to decay.
Usually, this first appointment will be for a quick ride in the dental chair and if willing, a quick look in their mouth with a dental mirror. This initial quick appointment helps your child become familiar with the sights, sounds and smells at the dentist, and well as meet our friendly team. With this approach, future appointments won’t be as daunting.

Prevention is better than cure, and often, a lost or removed baby tooth can result in spacing issues for adult teeth in the future.
